Singles ages 30 and up are invited to participate in a fun version of speed dating. We will begin with a glass of wine in the Visitors Center before departing in electric golf carts with a new friend to various points of interest in the park.

To make things interesting, you will switch partners at every stop to get the proper mix of company. When all stops have been made, return to the refreshments and pick up a previous conversation or start a new one!

One requirement: when you register for this event, convince a member of the opposite sex to sign up with you—not one you’re romantically involved with—but one who might be a great match for someone else!

Step 5: Set up a code

If you’re at the party with a friend or your partner, use a pre-established “rescue me” signal.

How To Escape a Bad Party Conversation: Be honest

Step 6: Be honest

Just be honest. Kind of. Tell the person it’s been great talking to them – now here comes the honest part – but you really want to mingle. No one can fault you for that.

Thirty-four percent of Americans are uncomfortable when introducing themselves to strangers at a party, according to one survey.
